Welcome to the Buffalo County Historical Society's 2005 School Project!

The Buffalo County Historical Society has decided to embark on a wonderful project to bring as much information together as possible about schools in Buffalo County.  We are first of all looking for volunteers to be the point people for each township in Buffalo County.  The map, below, will have a link to the contact person for each Buffalo County Township along with a list of the schools contained in that township. Feel free to contact us if there is a school missing or in the wrong township as we would like to make this project as accurate as possible.  The city schools will be listed in their respectively named townships except Buffalo City and Cochrane will be listed in Belvidere Township while Fountain City and C-FC will be listed in Milton Township.

The BCHS board and members hope to eventually have a book about the schools in Buffalo County and the history that goes with them.  Thank you for your help with this project!
